Large dogs have an advantage over other kinds of dogs, as they are easier to play with and because of their huge size, give a sense of protection to the owners. But, the needs of large dogs are also large, in the sense; the owner has to provide a home that is suitable to the large dog.
The beds for large dogs must be comfortable for them, since most of the large dogs are prone to hip dysplasia and joint problems. So, large dog should constantly be kept under the supervision of a vet. Additionally, a large dog must be trained properly especially if there are kids at home and a dog collar, preferably chained, is better.
It is possible to build your own dog houses for large dogs. Large breed of dogs are very useful in crime investigation department. While choosing as a pet, whether pure breed or otherwise, the owner must first decide if he would be in a position to handle the large dog efficiently.
Large dogs need to be given due care by taking them regularly for a walk and exercising them. Otherwise, they have the risk of putting on a lot of weight which is not good for them.
The food that is given to the large dog will also be more as compared to their smaller counterparts but both the small breed of dogs and large ones have their own merits and demerits and it is up to the individual to select the right breed of dog.
